Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has confirmed the assassination of Iran’s Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib, along with senior ministry figures. Further, International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi stated that, based on information received from Russia and Iran regarding the strike on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear site, the damage is not “very significant.” According to sources, the actual power plant was not hit. Rather, the strike landed on the premises. Therefore, Grossi stated that no reactors have been affected resulting to zero casualties.

Israeli media reported that Iran carried out strikes on multiple locations in Israel. This included Ramat Gan and areas east of Tel Aviv. Footage showed significant damage to buildings in these cities.

In the US Senate’s Intelligence Committee, Tulsi Gabbard, the US Director of National Intelligence, stated that Iran’s nuclear enrichment program was obliterated in strikes in June last year. Therefore, the US has seen no efforts by Tehran to rebuild it. She further added that Iran and its proxies remain capable of attacking the US and its allies in the Middle East.

In a separate attack by Israeli forces, the Al Amana company, which owns petrol stations, was hit by the Israeli Army. According to the army, the company funds Hezbollah. The Israeli Army stated that the company is a partner of the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Qard Al-Hassan financial institution. It is a quasi-banking institution that offers interest-free loans to people.
